Situated close to both the Village and Royal Racecourse that give it its name, Ascot Nursing Home is an Edwardian house, with a modern purpose built extension. It is the registered home of 75 people whose predominant problem is one of mental illness.
Set well back from the road in its own grounds, the Home commonly offers single accommodation, which is mostly situated on the ground floor with views of the gardens. All rooms come with en-suite facilities and modern safety features, such as the nurse call system and the fact that all external doors are attached to a central alarm that both protects and serves our elderly and vulnerable.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with any familiar or treasured possessions to aid their comfort. We have several communal lounge areas, some equipped with a TV and separate Dining Rooms. There is also a games room and activity centre for the benefit of our more able residents.
The gardens, which surround the building, are secluded and shaded with several sitting areas. The inner courtyard is a safe and secure environment for residents to sit or walk in, which they are actively encouraged to do so.
The aims and values of Ascot Nursing Home not only ensures that our residents have the highest quality of medical and nursing care but it provides a warm and homely environment which preserves their dignity.
